Student Government made progress in updating its financial guidelines at its most recent meeting, according to unofficial meeting minutes taken by Communications Officer Ava Gallia ‘26.
The Equity & Inclusion Committee analyzed the wording used in the financial guidelines and recommended changes to make the language more inclusive, according to the minutes. The sustainability committee discussed uniforms and how to ensure clubs are not purchasing more than necessary, while the communications committee worked on making the budget guidelines survey more widely available, with the goal of receiving at least 600 student responses.
The committee on financial guidelines drafted questions for the Budget Guidelines Town Hall, an event that was originally scheduled for Thursday but was announced to be “postponed” without further detail on Wednesday evening.
Student Government then approved additional student organization budgets, entering into executive session to deliberate the budgets in secret, according to the minutes. Members also discussed the Feb. 28 diversity, equity and inclusion forum.
