Student Government reviewed additional budgets during its April 17 meeting. A total of $650 was granted for the food budget out of $1,250 requested.
Inclusivity Officer Luna Garces ’27 shared that the Pard Pantry freezer had broken, however, the cause was not revealed. Money for a new frost-free freezer was approved, totaling $2,000, she explained.
Members then voted to change their decision to buy 25 Adirondack chairs for the Quad down to 20 chairs, for $6,760. Since the college administration will be paying for a portion of the chairs, $2,000 will be reallocated from the chair money to pay for the Pard Pantry freezer.
A proposal for a new student organization budget funding cycle was approved and announced to club officers the following day. The budget cycle will be separated into two sections: Period A, for funding from July 1 to the end of the fall semester, and Period B, for funding from Jan. 15 to through the spring semester.
A resolution is in the works for a club delegate system, in which delegates from clubs would attend Student Government meetings. Groups of clubs would be formed by type of organization.
