Name: Caitie Hope Year: Sophomore Major: English
I went to meet Caitie at her room for a closet raid. She was wearing an outfit that was quite suitable for a blue-sky day, consisting of light-salmon toothpick jeans, a flowy white top and a scarf for when the wind blew. Upon opening the closet, I was hit by a display of Easter-egg colors: pastel pinks, blues, purples, and darker, classy shades dangling from the hangers and filling the drawers. Shoes hung on the back of the door. It became obvious from the wide variety of button downs, sweaters, and blazers that Caitie is one of the manyprepsters seen around Lafayette.
Marine Samad: What is the most interesting article of clothing you have and why?
Caitie Hope: I have two-my black Chanel boots and my Hermès belt. They are classy and timeless and can really dress up an outfit.
MS: What is your favorite Lafayette-related article of clothing?
CH: My favorite Lafayette-related article of clothing would have to be my grey hoodless sweatshirt.
MS: What is your fashion inspiration?
CH: Ralph Lauren aka Ralph Lifshitz, his looks are classy, yet wearable at the same time. He has a look for everything.
MS: What is your ideal outfit for class?
CH: A gingham plaid Brooks Brothers button down tucked into JCrew shorts and Sperry’s. Easy but well-presented.
MS: If you could design a wardrobe for any TV show, which would it be?
CH: Since fashion is not number one on the stars of Law and Order’s list, I’d want to dress them!
