The Lafayette Women’s Basketball Team has three recruits for the incoming class of 2016, as announced by Head Coach Dianne Nolan.
Described as “offensive-minded” by Nolan, the class is comprised of Jazmin Hayes ‘16, Jamie O’Hare ‘16, and Annette Snow ‘16.
Hayes, a forward from Cincinnati, Ohio, was injured during her senior season at Mount Notre Dame High School, but is expected to be completely healthy for the upcoming season. Nolan praised Hayes for her physical style and good hands.
Hailing from Staten Island, N.Y. is O’Hare, a combo guard. O’Hare is a recipient of the Jacques Award as Staten Island’s most outstanding girls’ basketball player. Nolan spoke highly of O’Hare’s ability to distribute the ball and create scoring chances.
Finally comes Snow, a winger from Manalapan, N.J. Described as a “strong defender and an all-around solid player” by Nolan, Snow amassed 1,043 points in her high school career and figures to be a key offensive weapon.
Returning for the 2012-13 season will be ten players including Patriot League Rookie of the Year Emily Homan ‘15. KelleyLoughney ‘14, a transfer from New York University, will make her Lafayette debut after sitting out last season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Hear the Leopards roar, as Nolan expects the upcoming season to be much more successful than the last, in which the Leopards went 8-22.
