Scheuerman signs new deal

Christmas has come early for Ross Scheuerman ’15. Originally signed out of college by the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent, Scheuerman inked a new contract with the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday.

Ted Thompson, executive vice president, general manager and director of football for the Packers, announced the transaction, which will assign Scheuerman to the Packers’ practice squad

Following an Achilles injury while in camp for the Steelers, Scheuerman was released and remained unsigned while recovering from the injury.

Scheuerman contributed 1,868 all-purpose yards during his senior campaign, placing him sixth in the nation, and recorded the fourth best 20-yard shuttle time in the NFL combine. His 3,504 career rushing yards are good for third all time for the Leopards.
