Student Government’s Feb. 5 meeting featured a discussion with campus recreation and a quiz on the constitution. The organization hopes its recently overhauled constitution will receive approval from the Board of Trustees at the end of the month. There were no votes other than that for budget.
Representatives from the college’s recreation services office spoke on their work and expressed interest in increased collaboration with Student Government.
Budget allocations were deliberated and approved in secret. While $6,065 was requested, $7,440 was allocated. President Allie Waxman ‘28 said the discrepancy between the two numbers was due to the club budget appeal process, where rejected requests can be reconsidered. Student Government did not say where the money went.
Reps. Zara Wilson ‘29, Kate SantaMaria ‘27 and Roy Nisson ‘27 were absent. All absences were excused.
