Student Government’s second general body meeting of the year, held on Jan. 29, saw the election of representatives to seven committee chair positions.
Both Rep. William Bennett ‘28 — who lost a bid for vice president in the most recent Student Government election — and Rep. Emerson Casper ‘28 were elected to two chair positions. Voting was conducted via a WhatsApp poll.

Budgets were deliberated and approved in secret. Of the $60,355.95 requested, $36,142.95 was allocated. Student Government did not say where the money went; $7,132.50 went to The Lafayette’s print operations.
Parliamentarian Amy Atuhaire ‘29 and Alivia Bear ‘28 were both absent from the meeting. Atuhaire was excused, while Bear was not.
