Baseball (7-18-1, 5-7)
April 11 – Lafayette at Navy (Double header)
L, 2-1 (8); W, 11-8
Both starting pitchers, sophomore Dave Bednar of Lafayette and junior Luke Gillingham of Navy, each surrendered just five hits on the day in the first game. The Lafayette bats heated up in the afternoon, totaling 19 hits as a team. Senior catcher Parker Hills went two for four from the plate and drove in three runs. Eight different Leopards had multiple hits.
April 12 – Lafayette at Navy (Double header)
L, 3-2 (12); L, 8-6
In the first outing, senior starting pitcher Toby Schwartz went 10 innings strong, allowing just two runs and eight hits. Junior third baseman Tyler Hudson had three hits. Despite outhitting the Midshipmen, Lafayette lost by just two runs in the afternoon. Freshman Steve Cohen had three RBIs and junior centerfielder Michael Coniglio had three hits.
April 14 – Lafayette vs. Rutgers
T, 3-3 (12)
Lafayette found them down 1-0 after Rutgers hit a homerun at the first at-bat of the game. But senior outfielder Brett Thompson tied the game in the second, driving in senior Tim Lazor from second base. The game was ended due to darkness after 12 innings of play. Lafayette used nine pitchers in the ballgame.
Men’s Lacrosse (4-9, 1-6)
April 11 – Lafayette vs. Bucknell
L, 14-13
The Leopards erased a 10-4 deficit, but a last minute goal by the Bison gave them the win. Sophomores Eric Joseph and Kevin Lewis had five and three goals. Fellow sophomore Jason Sands tallied six assists.
Softball (3-27, 1-10)
April 11 – Lafayette vs. Colgate
L, 7-0
Sophomore Lindsey Cherry allowed four runs in two innings pitched. The team had just three hits.
April 12 – Lafayette vs. Colgate (Double header)
L, 11-0 (5); L, 14-5 (5)
In the first game, freshman Stephanie Thomas went two for two from the plate. On the mound, she allowed six hits and four runs in four innings on the mound. In the afternoon, freshman Samantha Sweigart had two hits to go along with two RBIs.
April 14 – Lafayette at Bucknell (Double header)
L, 8-0 (5); L, 6-1
Freshman Jenna Didio and Miranda Skurla, and junior Stephanie Schreiber each had a hit in the first outing. Freshman Samantha Sweigart went two for three from the plate and scored the lone run in the second game.
April 15 – Lafayette at Bucknell
L, 3-0
Freshman Stephanie Thomas allowed just three this and three runs in four innings pitched. Freshman Jenna Didio went two for three from the plate.
Women’s Lacrosse (4-12, 2-6)
April 8 – Lafayette at Bucknell
W, 14-11
Sophomore Kristen Wilhelmsen netted six goals on the day and senior Sarah Malone added another four more. Sophomore Ashley Tedesco had six assists.
April 11 – Lafayette at Colgate
L, 16-6
Sophomore Amanda Case scored a pair of goals on the day. Freshman goalie Anna Raymond had nine saves in the game.
