The Easton Police Department is currently searching for Tamir Freeman, 23, who is suspected to have shot and injured a man in Centre Square in Easton on Dec. 11.
At about 9:30 p.m., police found a 30-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds following shots being fired on the 200 block of Northampton Street. The victim, who was not cooperative with law enforcement, was rushed to the hospital where he suffered “survivable” injuries. According to WFMZ, police said that the victim may have known the shooter.
In addition to the unnamed victim, two businesses and a parked vehicle were also affected by gunfire during the shooting.
Freeman is believed to be armed. He is wanted on multiple charges including aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and attempted homicide.
“At this time, we believe [Freeman] has fled the Easton area,” Lieutenant Matthew Gerould of the Easton Police Department said. “We do not believe that this poses any threat to Lafayette College.”
