This Week: Point Guard Nick Lindner ‘17
Adam Nussbaum: Do you think the team has improved in the offseason? How?
Nick Lindner: Absolutely. The biggest thing is health. We have a bunch of players back who fell to injuries last season. We are older, wiser and back together to work as a cohesive unit.
AN: What is your most memorable game last year for Lafayette?
NL: Our home game against Lehigh. The whole crowd was crazy, it was great to see the student support and we got the win.
AN: What did you work on this summer to improve your game?
NL: I was able to make my jump shot more consistent through repetition.
AN: When did you know that basketball was the sport for you? Who has influenced you throughout your career?
NL: Probably around the time I was nine. That was the first time I played travel basketball at a competitive level. My biggest influences were Alvin Williams and John Haynes. They both played for Villanova and were like fathers to me.
AN: What NBA player would you compare your game to?
NL: Rajon Rondo.
AN: Any plans for sports in the future?
NL: I’m hoping to play professionally overseas after college.
AN: If you could meet one celebrity, who would it be?
NL: J. Cole.
AN: What’s your favorite vacation spot?
NL: Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.
AN: What is your favorite homemade meal?
NL: Chicken biscuits with peaches and gravy on top.
AN: What’s your favorite song to listen to before a game?
NL: J. Cole – Rise and Shine.
AN: What don’t people know about you?
NL: My other passion is tattoos.
