September 27, 2014 – Lafayette vs. Wagner

Despite losing starting sophomore quarterback Drew Reed in the second quarter to a shoulder injury, sophomore quarterback Blake Searfoss stepped up to the plate, completing 14 of 23 passes for 173 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Senior running back Ross Scheuerman continued to assert his dominance in the FCS, rushing for 128 yards a fourth quarter touchdown, sealing the win for the Leopards.

Sophomore Jared Mactas led the way for the Leopards coming in second place overall after firing rounds of 71, 76, and 72 putting him at six over par for the weekend.
Men’s Soccer (3-4-2, 0-1-0)
September 27 – Lafayette vs. Colgate
L, 2-1 2OT
The Leopards jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the 27th minute following an unassisted goal by sophomore Ryan Egan. Lafayette was able to hold off the Red Raiders until the 104th minute, where senior goalkeeper Sandy Leavy was unable to stop a shot by Chase Pagani.
Field Hockey (4-6, 0-2)
September 24 – Lafayette vs. Penn
L, 4-2
Despite making seven saves in her second career start in goal, sophomore goalie Katelyn Arnold allowed three goals in the last 24 minutes of the game. Junior Katie Birle put the Leopards ahead early in the 16th minute off a pass from senior Brittany Blass. Amanda Magadan scored the second goal of the day for Leopards in the 35th minute.
September 27 – Lafayette at Colgate
L, 1-0
Senior goalie Jess Deutsch was able to stop four shots on the day, but only needed to allow one goal to give the Red Raiders the victory. The Colgate defense was able to stop eight shots on goal by the Leopards.
Women’s Soccer (3-6-0, 0-2-0)
September 26 – Lafayette at Navy
L, 4-0
Freshman goalie Kelly O’Brien made her first career start against Navy. Despite allowing just one goal in the first half, O’Brien allowed three second half goals in a span of 15 minutes to give conference foe Navy the win.
Volleyball (4-11, 1-3)
September 27 – Lafayette at American
L, 3-0
American blanked the Leopards in three sets, by scores of 25-11, 25-8, and 26-24. Senior Danielle Towslee led the way for the Leopards with four kills, while senior Lauren Pisauro led the way in digs with 11.
September 28 – Lafayette at Loyola Maryland
W, 3-1
Despite losing the first set, Lafayette took the Greyhounds in three straight sets by scores of 28-26, 25-14, and 27-25. This was the Leopards’ first in league win and first win since September 12. Sophomore Jet Manzi led the way in kills with 12, while senior Lauren Pisauro led the way for the Leopards in digs with 16.
