It’s that time of the year when its not warm enough for shorts and sandals, but not quite cold enough for blanket scarves and snow boots. Here are some ways to navigate this tricky transition:
- Don’t peel off the layers yet
Given the unreliable weather, you always have to be prepared for the worst. A chilly wind or a warm day, layering is your best friend this season. Lightweight garments like t-shirts, cotton dresses and leggings are great bases to begin with. Layer them with your favorite spring/denim jacket or cardigan to get the warmth and, look, all in one outfit!
- Printed paradise
It’s time to break into the new season by breaking off from the subdued vibes of winter. Bring out the prints! Make some bold moves by welcoming the spring season with some floral or bold geometric prints.
- Rest the tall ones
Time to give your knee-high boots a rest and get your ankle boots out of your closet for those cold days and flats for the warmer ones. Booties and flats are a versatile essential in every woman’s closet. Be playful and mix and match your shoes to your outfit. Bright flats are one of the easiest ways to add a pop of color to your outfit!
- Pop the neutral bubble
With the snow melting and the grass becoming greener, it’s time for you to move on from your neutrals to some spring colors. Don’t be afraid to mix and match colors through your outfits or even makeup. Follow your instinct and you’ll make it work. You can either choose to implement color by focusing in on one piece like a bright colored t-shirt and pair it up with your good old leggings or you can go bright on the bottom with colored pants/skirts and pair it up with a subtle black/white top. But for those daring days, navy with tangerine, pink with rich emerald, can be your runway-inspired go to colors this spring!
But ladies, most importantly have fun while making the seasons lightest clothing’s, colors and trends work for you.
