A Lafayette student was the victim of harassment Tuesday morning after a man entered her friend’s off-campus home, according to an email sent out by Public Safety.
At around 6 a.m. Tuesday, an unknown male walked into a house on the 200 block of McCartney Street through the back door, which had been left unlocked. The man then touched her foot and left the home, the email read.
The crime was reported to Public Safety at 1:44 p.m, and two repeat emails went out to students at various times that evening.
The man who entered the home is described as a white male, mid-20s, approximately 5’10”, and was seen wearing a grey sweatshirt and a black beanie.
Although the email listed one of the crimes as a burglary and a harassment, it did not say whether or not anything had been stolen from the house.
A student who lives at the college-owned property declined to comment, and Public Safety was not immediately available for comment.
