Milo Fayez Elias, the founder of community favorite Milo’s Place bar and restaurant on College Hill, passed away on Jan. 17, 2023. He is survived by many family members, residents of both the United States and Lebanon; his family emigrated to America when he was a teenager. Elias worked for over 30 years at American National Can Corporation in Washington, N.J. before opening Milo’s in 2002. 

According to his obituary, Lafayette students “elevated him to legendary status,” and “there were many times he would be stopped to take pictures with alumni and their families.” His time away from work was often spent with family and friends.
