Nothing beats procrastination better than overindulging in chocolate. This recipe is perfect for a lazy, hanging-around-with-friends kind of Sunday afternoon. And baking doesn’t have to be a lot of work – these Oreo truffle desserts are too easy to be this delicious.
Ingredients:
1 (16-ounce) package OREO Chocolate Cookies
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
2 (8-ounce) packages semi-sweet baking chocolate
Baking sheet
Parchment or wax papers
Directions:
Put cookies in a Ziploc bag, and use a rolling pin or similar kitchen appliance to crush into fine crumbs. Place in a medium sized bowl.
Add cream cheese and mix with cookie crumbs until well blended.
Line two baking sheets with parchment or wax paper.
Roll cookie mixture into balls, about one inch in diameter.
Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes or until hardened.
In a medium saucepan, melt chocolate morsels until smooth.
Dip Oreo balls into chocolate and place back on baking sheet.
Refrigerate about one hour. Store leftover truffles in the refrigerator.
