Loyola keeper Matt Sanchez warded off seven Lafayette shots to highlight a defensive stand that lasted through two overtimes. Lafayette keeper Brad Seeber saved three shots to keep the sheet clean.
Oct. 7 vs Bucknell
W, 1-0
Senior forward Eric West struck home the only goal for either side, paving the way for a big conference win.
Field Hockey (1-1 PL, 6-6 Overall)
Oct. 3 vs. Lehigh
W, 2-1
Rivalry weekend for field hockey saw Junior midfielder Ami Turner score the game winning goal. Junior forward Amanda Magadan tallied the other goal for the Leopards.
Oct. 6 vs. Penn
L, 5-0
Alexa Hoover of the University of Pennsylvania ran wild over Lafayette with 3 goals, contributing to the Leopards second worst lost off the season.
Women’s Soccer (0-3-1 Conf, 5-4-1 Overall)
Oct. 4 vs. American

Freshman Annika Sheehan found the end of a ball from Junior forward Kaelin King to send the game into overtime in the dying minutes, but a goal from American’s Kelly Donovan in the second overtime quelled Lafayette’s efforts.
Football (0-1 Conf, 1-4 Overall)
Oct. 3 vs. Fordham
L, 35-7
Sophomore tailback DeSean Brown scored Lafayette’s only touchdown in a big loss to Fordham’s high-powered offense.
Volleyball (2-2 Conf, 10-5 Overall)
Oct. 3 vs. Bucknell
L, 3-2
Forced into a winner-take-all fifth set, Lafayette could not hold on and lost 15-7 to tally their fifth loss of the season. A career-high 23 kills for Senior OH Brianne Giangiobbe led the Leopards.
Golf
Oct. 3-5 at the Binghamton Fall Invitational
T, 8th
Senior Patrick Luther led Lafayette at the Binghamton Fall Invitational with an 19th place finish overall.
Cross Country
Oct. 2 at Paul Short Invitational
Junior Kelvin Sarem finished first for Lafayette men, while Senior Steph Benko had the best time for the women.
