As members of the Lafayette community touched by cancer, we wanted to express our deepest gratitude to the Student Movement Against Cancer for organizing this year’s Relay for Life and to all those who participated in and donated to the fundraiser.

Being diagnosed with cancer is scary, but the April 14 event on the Quad was a reminder that we – and all those afflicted by the disease – are not alone.

It takes a village to defeat cancer and knowing we are members of a supportive community who takes that challenge seriously means more than words can express.

Thank you to all those who took part in Relay for Life. Your efforts, energy, and care go a long way in bettering the lives of those affected by cancer.
