The Lafayette to embark on Easton adventure

The+Lafayette+to+embark+on+Easton+adventure

Three editors for The Lafayette, joined by Remy Oktay ’24 and former editor-in-chief Lucie Lagodich ’22, will be visiting every Easton in America over spring break.

Two of the editors, Trebor Maitin ’24 and Elisabeth Seidel ’26, will be piloted by Oktay and joined by Lagodich in visiting 14 cities and towns named Easton east of the Rockies, while Bay Area native Selma O’Malley ’26, the news editor, will be road tripping to Easton, California, with a pitstop in Selma, California.

As Lehigh Valley 250 approaches, this Easton expedition will expose the community to the varied cultures and histories of America while spreading the word about Easton, Pennsylvania, to the nation’s remote reaches. Easton, Pennsylvania Mayor Sal Panto Jr. has penned a letter that will be hand-delivered to the other leaders of Easton and keepsakes from each Easton will be brought home for the community to engage with.

You can follow along with the Easton adventure on Polarsteps; an article chronicling the trip will appear in the March 22 issue of The Lafayette.
