November 8 – Lafayette vs. Colgate

W, 19-16

A field goal with time expiring by freshman Thomas Martin knocked off Patriot League rival Colgate on Saturday at home. This field goal completed a 16 point comeback by the Leopards which started in the third quarter behind sophomore Blake Searfoss’s 12-13 passing and two touchdowns.

Men’s Soccer (6-10-2, 2-7-0)

November 8 – Lafayette vs. Loyola Maryland

W, 1-0 (2OT)

Senior Ryan Dodds finished off his career with a 102nd minute penalty kick goal to lead the Leopards into the offseason. Teammate junior Eric West was tackled inside the box while taking a shot, setting up the penalty kick. A total of five saves were made throughout the whole contest.

Volleyball (5-21, 2-12)

November 7- Lafayette vs. Bucknell

L, 3-0

Seniors Katy Rooney and Danielle Towslee led the Leopards on senior night with a combine 15 kills. Bucknell’s Parks led the match with 17 digs, with junior Lauren Pisauro in second with 11.

Swimming & Diving

November 8- Lafayette vs. Bucknell, Navy, American

The men’s team defeated American in their meet with a 60-point win, after winning by one point last season. The 200 meter relay anchored by senior Evan Newbold, finished in first with a time of 1:17. Junior Greg Grewal finished third in the 200IM relay with teammates Newbold and juniors Christopher Wickwire, and Robert Lowery. He finished third in the 100-yard individual breaststroke as well, finishing at 58.13.

The women were kept afloat in their matches by junior Jaclyn Andrews, and seniors Megan Kaveney, Jane Kuntz and Allie Berger. Kuntz recorded the best season times in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events, matching her time at the Patriot League Championship last year. Andrews also collected best season times with a pair of fifth place finishes in the 100 and 200 butterfly events.


November-Lafayette at Vassar Invitational

Freshman Alex Gorloff led the Leopards passed West Point 21-7, after winning three matches in sabre. Gorloff also posted three wins against Yeshiva matching senior Daniel Robitzski’s success.

The women had success in their foil bouts, with a combine nine wins from senior Colleen Way, sophomore Julia Sheng, and freshman Andrea Mitchell to defeat Navy.
