Men’s Basketball (,)

March 5 – Lafayette vs. Boston University

W, 89-64

The men’s basketball team cruised through the first round the Patriot League Tournament. All five starters scored in double figures—senior Dan Trist (11), senior Seth Hinrichs (18), Joey Ptasinski (15), junior Bryce Scott (14) and sophomore Nick Linder (24). Dan Trist added ten rebounds.

March 8 – Lafayette at Bucknell

W, 80-74

The Leopards were able to knock off the top seeded Bison at Sojka Pavilion. This comes as Lafayette’s first win at Bucknell in a Patriot League Tournament game. Four starters scored in double figures—Dan Trist (21), Joey Ptasinski (18), Bryce Scott (11) and Nick Linder (23).

March 11 – Lafayette vs. American

W, 65-63

The men’s basketball team won a nail biter to win the Patriot League Tournament. Sophomore Nick Lindner won tournament MVP and finished the game with 25 points. Senior Seth Hinrichs also added 16 points. The Leopards are dancing.

Women’s Basketball (14-17, 6-12)

March 6 – Lafayette at American

L, 79-56

The Lady Leopards closed out their season in the second round of the Patriot League Tournament. Senior Emily Homan scored 12 points, while junior Jamie O’Hare added 19 and senior Linnel Macklin added 12. Sophomore Ashley Lutz had 13 boards.

Men’s Lacrosse (1-4, 0-3)

March 10 – Lafayette vs. Navy

L, 18-4

Freshman Scott McAvoy scored two goals on the day on three shots. Sophomores Jason Sands and Eric Joseph each added a goal apiece.

Women’s Lacrosse (1-6, 0-1)

March 7 – Lafayette vs. Navy

L, 20-5

In the team’s Patriot League opener, sophomores Charlotte Rath and Kristen Wilhelmsen scored two goals apiece. Junior Brooke Callahan also netted a goal.

Softball (0-9, 0-0)

March 6 – Lafayette at Elon

L, 8-0

Freshman Stephanie Thomas went 2-4 at the plate. However, she allowed eight runs and eight hits in just 2.2 innings on the mound.

March 7 – Lafayette at Elon

L, 2-0

Sophomore Kristyn Marinelli allowed just four hits and two runs in 5.1 innings pitched. Freshmen Stephanie Thomas and Rebecca Dvorak each had two hits.

March 7 – Lafayette vs. Hampton

L, 1-0

Sophomore Lindsey Cherry allowed just two hits and one earned run in 6.2 innings on the mound. Freshman Rebecca Dvorak had two hits for the second straight game.

March 8 – Lafayette vs. Central Connecticut

L, 2-0

In six innings pitched, sophomore Kristyn Marinelli allowed six hits and two runs. On offense, the Lady Leopards has just two hits.
