Baseball (2-18)

March 10 vs. Georgetown

L, 10-4

The Leopards gave up 14 hits and were unable to keep the Hoyas’ bats at bay. Junior Quentin Bubb went 3-5 and was the only Leopard to have a multi-hit game.

 

March 11 vs. Georgetown

L, 14-7

Yet again the Leopards were unable to stop the Georgetown offense as the Hoyas scored eight runs in the span of two innings to put the Leopards away.

 

March 12 vs. Georgetown

L, 13-6

The Hoyas had another outburst at the plate, with eight of their nine starters recording a hit and three players collecting four hits on the afternoon.

 

March 16 @ UNC Greensboro

L, 25-7

The Leopards had no chance after the Spartans plated 18 runs in the first three innings. Senior Alex Woinski was the lone bright spot for Lafayette, going 3-5 at the plate.

 

March 17 @ UNC Greensboro

L, 14-2

For the sixth straight game the Lafayette pitching staff gave up double-digit runs en route to the Leopards’ eighth straight loss.

 

March 17 @ UNC Greensboro

L, 8-7

Sophomore Spencer Rouse and Bubb both had three hits apiece but the Leopards fell just short in the one run loss to the Spartans.

 

March 18 @ UNC Greensboro

L, 11-8

The Leopards tried to mount a late comeback after trailing 11-4 but they came up short as Lafayette couldn’t avoid the series sweep.

 

Men’s Lacrosse (1-6)

March 11 vs. Navy

W, 9-8

Lafayette was able to pick up its first win of the season against the Midshipmen. Junior Luke Smith notched a hat trick in the conference victory.

 

March 18 @ Lehigh

L, 15-7

Despite outshooting the rival Mountain Hawks 38-35, the Leopards had trouble getting the ball in the net as they fell to Lehigh.

 

Women’s Lacrosse (6-3)

March 18 vs. Army

W, 15-11

The Leopards won their fourth straight game and their first conference game of the season. Senior Kristen Wilhelmsen scored five goals and added an assist to join the 200 career point club.

 

March 22 vs. Villanova

L, 13-11

The win streak came to an end as the Leopards fell to the Wildcats. Wilhelmsen and sophomore Jane Kirby each scored four goals in the losing effort.

 

Softball (1-7)

March 18 @ College of Charleston

L, 9-1

The Leopards were unable to muster up any offense as they were held to just five hits on the day. Junior Samantha Sweigart scored the only run for Lafayette in the game.

 

March 18 vs. Ohio

L, 8-0

Lafayette’s offense was silenced yet again as they were no-hit in five innings against the Bobcats.

 

March 20 @ Penn

L, 8-1

Penn scored six runs in the first two innings and there was no looking back for the Quakers as they rolled past the Leopards.

 

March 20 @ Penn

L, 9-1

The Quakers pitching staff fooled the Leopards again, as Penn cruised to another victory. Junior Miranda Skulra went 2-3 in the game.
