What was your recruitment process like?
The summer before my senior year of high school I knew I wanted to play in college. I decided to participate in a lot of camps in my region and realized that scouts took interest in my game. Once I had a pool of interested schools, I narrowed them down to mostly Patriot League schools, and then to Lafayette and Lehigh.
When did you decide you were coming to Lafayette?
I verbally committed Sunday morning of my recruiting trip here, three weeks before signing day. It was then made official on signing day.
What other programs were you looking at?
Only Patriot League teams once I narrowed it down to schools academically that I was interested in.
What was your signing day experience like?
Being that I already knew I was coming to Lafayette, it wasn’t as emotional as others’ signing day was, but it definitely reminded me of where I will be for my college career and that I made the right decision.
What was your initial view of Lafayette on your official visit?

I was hosted by a junior wide receiver, and he helped me fall in love with this place. All the players took me in and made me feel how great a place this school is. I felt like I was at home here. The Sunday before signing day I talked to Coach T and I knew this was the place.
Has the Lafayette experience lived up to your expectations?
Absolutely. I came here believing that I was getting the best of both worlds: a great academic experience along with a competitive sports program. And that perception hasn’t changed at all.
When you host recruits, what advice do you give them?
I always tell them that both athletics and academics are very different then high school and it takes time to adapt to the combination, but everyone eventually figures it out. You got to emphasize education first and then being an athlete comes second. Being an athlete here is a special opportunity. It is a real convenient, compact campus with great amenities like the football house and the training program.
