Saturday: L 7-2 (7) at Lehigh

After Lafayette scored twice in the top of the first inning, Leopards pitcher Connor Ortolf gave up six runs on nine hits in three innings of work.

Saturday: L 4-2 at Lehigh

In the top of the ninth inning, Lafayette had the tying run up at bat with two outs when junior Toby Schwartz singled through the right side hole. Senior Andrew Santomauro struck out to the end the game.

Sunday: W 2-1 (7) at Lehigh

Sophomore Mitch Leeds surrendered a single run in six and two-thirds innings to win for Lafayette. He struck out a career-high seven batters.

Sunday: L 5-1 at Lehigh

Lehigh centerfielder Justin Pacchioli led Lehigh with three hits, and two runs on four at-bats.

Wednesday: Postponed at Rider

 

Softball: (10-32, 4-14) 7th place

Lafayette Softball has a team ERA of 4.92.

Saturday: L 10-1 (6) at Boston U

After Lafayette scored one run in the top of the first, Boston University scored six runs in the bottom to take the lead for good. The loss broke Lafayette’s four game winning streak.

Sunday: L 2-1 (9) at Boston University

Sophomore Allison Brown had the lone run for Lafayette, hitting a ball out over the centerfield wall in the top half of the fourth inning. Freshman Lindsey Cherry gave up two runs and struck out 14 in eight and two thirds innings of work.

Sunday: L 3-1 at Boston University

Lafayette went 3-23 in the game, with one of the hits being a solo home run by freshman Kristyn Marinelli.

M Lacrosse: (2-11, 1-7) 9th place

Season concluded with a 17-6 loss to Lehigh on April 18.

 

W Lacrosse: (7-10, 2-6) 7th place

Season concluded with a 19-13 victory against Iona on April 19.

 

Track & Field:

Lehigh Games

In its final regular season meet, the men’s team had two first place finishes: freshman Kevin Smith in the 800 meter run and sophomore Colton Mitchell in the pole vault. For the women, junior Grace Watters finished a third of a second behind the first place finisher in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:44.56.

Penn Relays

Senior pole vaulter Elise Buffinton finished tied for third in the College Pole Vault with a jump of 11’ 11 ¾”.

Senior hammer thrower finished fifth in the Championship Hammer throw at 188’7”.

The women’s 4x400m relay team of junior Haley Langton, freshman Drew Davis, sophomore Erin Keen, and sophomore Devin Smith ran 3:54 to finish third in their heat.

The men’s 4×400 meter relay team of seniors Neil Franzese andTim Shaw, and sophomores Christopher Castello and Jarrel Bobb won their heat in a time of 3:19.44.

Saturday-Sunday: Patriot League Championship at Army

Lafayette finished seventh hitting 86 over. Freshman Jared Mactas was selected to the Second Team All-Patriot League after tying for eighth place with an 11 over in three rounds of play.

 

M Tennis: (5-11, 1-7) 8th place

Friday: L 4-0 vs. No. 1 Army

Army won the doubles point and also at second, fifth and sixth singles to defeat Lafayette and advance to the semifinals.
